Pamela Kay – NYC’s vintaged inspired Hand-Bag label
| Let me introduce you to Pamela Kay, a line of handmade handbags that focuses primarily on the classic clutch. Accompanying the clutch designs are adorable zip pouches and coin purses. |
| Each bag is lovingly designed and handmade by the designer herself. The clutches come in a vast array of personalities and are as unique as an individual. Made with care and purpose, each bag is not only beautiful but also functional. |

The beauty of these bags is displayed in their craftsmanship. Each bag is made by the skillful hands of the New York based designer, Pamela. Her sewing and designing skills emerged at an early age when she began entering and winning numerous local competitions. She designed clothes, shoes, and even a full magazine publication. She worked for a small handbag designer and later took fashion classes upon moving to New York. Her designs range from simple fun prints to exquisite embroidery detail and fine quality leather. This particular style of embroidery originating from Norway is called Hardanger. It is counted embroidery stitched on even weave fabric, known for its open cutwork which produces a lacey effect. |
| While beautiful indeed, these clutches do their duty: big enough to fit a hefty wallet and your most important items, yet still a petite refined bag. With a full sized pocket, organization is made easy. And, as any girl-on-the-go likes having options, a detachable chain is also available for sale. |
| With a quick tour of Pamela’s small studio, you see that her walls are speckled with pictures and items that inspire her, samples, to-do lists, and words of encouragement. Her two favorite items are flea market finds…one is a beautiful vintage mirror, gold and ornate; the other is a wooden compartmentalized drawer, which she uses to display her colorful sewing machine threads. Aiming for quality, pictures don’t compare to holding one of these bags in your hands.
